Re:Create CT Event from the CT Holistic Chamber of Commerce

The CT Holistic Chamber of Commerce presents Re:Create CT, an up-cycle and green living event for the community. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4, from 10am to 4pm, in Elizabeth Park, West Hartford. The event is designed for both businesses and consumers who have a commitment to foster a healthier community. The event will feature artisans, food vendors, and practitioners, along with music and other family-friendly offerings for people of all ages.

The artisan marketplace at Re:Create CT will offer a fun and unique shopping experience with offerings from  artists who specialize in up-cycling, re-purposing and using eco-friendly materials. Party bowls created from old vinyl records, for example, are just one of the unique ideas attendees will find and be able to purchase from the creative minds of the multitude of artisans.
As we head into Farmers’ Market Season, health food lovers will appreciate all there is to do and taste at the Re:Create event. A number of Farmers’ Market type vendors and specialty food producers from around the Hartford County will be there, along with information on the upcoming locations and times for local Farmers’ Markets that are coming up soon. In addition, nutritionists and food experts will be talking about solutions and providing samples of recipes to provide attendees with information on various food allergies and dietary preferences.

The Holistic Chamber of Commerce is an organization for Holistic Health Providers, eco-friendly and green businesses or anyone interested in “healthier people on a healthier planet,” the third element of Re:Create CT will be a trade show for all of the local alternative businesses to share their knowledge and crafts. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local healers, practitioners, therapists, instructors and experts who have a common goal to guide individuals within the community to be healthier and happier.

The event will also feature live music performances, interactive yoga and Zumba classes, various children’s activities and fresh food for sale from local food trucks. Elizabeth Park, with its lush greenery and nationally acclaimed gardens, will provide a beautiful backdrop to this outdoor event.
