Festival of India and Ratha Yatra in East Hartford

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness is sponsoring its fifth annual Ratha Yatra (chariot parade) and Festival of India, from noon to 5 p.m., July 14, at the Knights of Columbus field, in East Hartford.

Festivities include a kirtan, live music, Indian dance, mantra meditation, hatha yoga, henna (Indian tattoos) and a free, vegetarian feast. Other activities include a parade that starts at noon, a magic show and other children's activities.
